Hello my friends and family :)
We had some great days in Cairns and especially at the Reef.
As we arrived there our aim was to find a job on a diving boat. After we went to every single dive shop in Cairns we finally were lucky and got both jobs as hosties for 5 days each. I had to wait two weeks to do the dive trip so I decided to work for accommodation at PK's Jungle Village in the Daintree Rainforest. But before I left Cairns for two weeks we just decided to go wakeboarding which was so fun:
Looks like we are pros, doesn't it?
I had a great time in the rainforest afterwards even though the Manager of the Hostel was not the friendliest. My friends Sam, Michael, Claire, Katie, Shawn and all the others made it a great time and the jungle was interesting as well. When Sven and I hiked Mount Sorrow we were wet on the top because the humidity in the forest is so damn high. But it was worth it for the stunning view up there:
Back in Cairns I just had one night and the my fantastic dive trip started. I had to work a on the boat ad could dive four times a day in exchange so I had 16 dives in five days which was so amazing! The Great Barrier Reef is just so stunning with all it's coral, fish and sea life. Everything is so colourful every dive I saw something new: Clownfish (Nemoo!), reef Sharks, Turtles, Lionfish and beautiful coral. I even survived a Triggerfish Attack :D Night dives were a good experience as well and my Fluoro Dive was so cool because everything looks so different when you just see the see the coral and fish that are glowing with my special glasses and I could see things I didn't see before.
Back in Cairns I'm looking forward to New Zealand! Our flight goes on the February the third and I'm so excited.
Greets to everyone!
