Brisbane - Airlie

Hello everyone :)

because I made such a lot of friends here I simply switch to English. Sven and I had a great time since we left Bundaberg. First of all we went back to Brisbane to dive at the Tangalooma Wrecks on Morten Island. We had a great day on the resort and although the sight was not the best, the dive was quit interesting and we saw some small sharks. Our other days in the city we spent with Nick and Ipek. We even made Christmas cookies! It felt strange with 35 degrees outside though :D

In Brisbane we decided to take the Bus up to Cairns with a view stops in between. The first one was Rainbow Beach. On our first day we went to the sand cliffs at the beach, including sand boarding.

Departing from this tiny village we had our 3 day Fraser Tour. This tag along tour, where we could drive a 4wd along the beach on our own, was absolutely insane. We we're Team Schinken (the best car if course) and I hat so much fun on K'Gari which is the island's original name. Lake McKenzie, champagne pools, the ship wreck, the great nights with nice BBQ and lots of beer and goon, a lot of wonderful people and our lovely tour guide Gas made it simply perfect:

The next stop was Agnes Water. Our Hostel Cool Bananas was the best I've ever been! We learned surfing on our first day and 4 times in five days. Surfing is absolutely amazing. Its such a incredible feeling to Stan a wave and even chilling on the water and taking the waves is so cool. Our nights we're perfect as well as we met our best Canadian friends Yosh, Kyle, Simon and Bruce (sorry bro). Also swimming at night with Dominique was really nice :) another highlight there was Christmas dinner. Definitely my best meal in Australia!

From Agnes Water we made our way up to Airlie Beach. We found out that all the hostels we're booked out cause it was one day before New Years Eve. So we were really lucky to find work for accom at one of the hostels for two weeks. We met James, Seané, Josh and Britta and had some crazy nights including NYE. After 7 days in Airlie I found a place to do volunteering on a Whit Sunday's Sailing Boat for three nights which means working on the boat and getting the trip for free. Those three days were just one of the best I had in Australia. I once more realized how much I love sailing and the Whit Sundays we're so beautiful of course which made everything perfect!

Now I'm one day off the boat and I already miss it and still feel the ground moving :D
Best greetings to anybody out there!
I'm happy 😊
